Online Business Grants
Do you know a woman who actually received government subsidies for your business? Too many scams online!?

I am a woman, owner business. Finding funds for my new company. Many things he has done, but means you can not hire the right people to help me and no way to advertise aggressively. All grant offer ads online 7 day trial, after that $ 39.95 membership fee site. Maybe free money for women business owners do not exist at all? Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Many of Scams – you may want to read the warnings FTC has issued against these "grant" Business: http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2004/03/grantresources.htm http://www.ftc.gov/ Here is also one of bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt134.htm the warnings issued by the Better Business Bureau http://www.concord.bbb.org/tips_timesharescams.html is hard to find grants to start a business. Contrary to myths that some perpetuate, federal government and even private foundations do not give grant money to start a business for profit. One possible exception is for companies development or export of agricultural products including food and forest products. Another exception could be the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs http://www.sba.gov/aboutsba/sbaprograms/sbir/index.html, Who funds research and development of innovation technology that meets specific government needs. Your best bet is actually the U.S. if they offer scholarship programs for women (or any other special interest group – minorities, women, disabled, veterans, etc..) You can also consult with agencies to nonprofit organizations, particularly women if they offer scholarships. Examples include Iowa Women's Foundation http://www.iawf.org/ http://www.nmwf.org/guidelines.html New Mexico Women's Foundation Even SBA does not award grants. From website http://www.sba.gov/mostrequesteditems/CON_FAQ2.html SBA The U.S. Small Business Administration does not offer grants to start or expand small businesses, even if it offers a wide variety of loan programs. (See http://www.sba.gov/financing for more information) While SBA offers fellowship programs are generally designed to expand and enhance organizations that allow small business management, technical or financial. These grants support otherwise the non-profit institutions of credit intermediaries, and state and local governments. "However, you can go to the Catalog of Federal Assistance Domestic (CFDA) and http://www.cfda.gov Grants.gov http://www.grants.gov – these are two sites created by the federal government to ensure transparency and information scholarships. Browse the list and see if you can find any grant that would support a for-profit business. Most federal grants are awarded to specific groups with specific needs (eg minority business owners involved in transportation-related contracts from DOT – Grant # 20905 Business Companies disadvantaged Loan Program Short-Term Grants are also often given to nonprofit groups or organizations involved in training or other activities similar (59,043 grant women property Business Assistance given to those who will create a women's business center that will train women entrepreneurs
