Where should I start looking for a business development grant for small businesses?

I have my own small business is listed as a company in Ontario. I wonder how I can apply for grants for business development in technology or the Internet industry. I'm working on some large Web ideas, but the necessary funding. My father told me that a friend had some grant money for R & D.
