How can I improve my language skills in Japanese language?

I studied Japanese language for the last two years in a university. I have Japanese friends so do not get many opportunities to express themselves. I want to improve my Japanese language skills spoken speacially general. While am fluent in everyday conversation in Japanese, but want to improve a wide range of topics (business, technical terminology etc.). Please suggest some good sites where can I get online dictionaries speacialized Japanese to English and vice versa.

www.alc.co.jp is a good website for any technical term or colloquial you need. This is the website for the dictionary Eijiro (E <-> J). Check it out! To improve your vocabulary, start reading magazines in Japanese. Time and Newsweek, are a good start. Once you feel at home, go to Newton, the magazine of science. Once you understand Newton, you will have the technology under its belt, thus. That's what I done and it worked: I worked as a professional technical translator for the past 20 years.
